PACKET PICKUP POLICY

  • YOUR QR CODE IN YOUR RUNSIGNUP REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL IS REQUIRED FOR PACKET PICKUP!

  • Save it or print it now. Can’t find it? Follow the instructions below to resend it:

  1. Log into runsignup.com

  2. Select Profile Picture in upper right corner and select Profile

  3. Find the event under “Upcoming Events” and select Resend Confirmation

  • IF RACE PACKET DELIVERY WAS NOT ADDED, YOU MUST ATTEND PACKET PICKUP ON FRIDAY.

  • YOU CANNOT PICK UP AFTER PACKET PICKUP CLOSES - NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • TAP HERE TO SKIP PACKET PICKUP AND HAVE YOUR PACKET MAILED TO YOU

  • REGISTRATION CHANGES MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE DEADLINE & CANNOT BE MADE AT PACKET PICKUP - NO EXCEPTIONS. See Transfer Policy below for details.

  • Picking up for others is allowed with their QR code. Picking up for a large group of 20+? Please email us at least 7 days in advance the date/time you are planning to pick up so that we can prepare them for you in advance.

RACE PACKET DELIVERY

If you ordered the VIP PACKAGE or RACE PACKET DELIVERY ADD-ON, your race packet will be shipped 1 week before race day. You will receive a tracking email when shipped and delivered.

REFUND POLICY

This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. When you register for an event, you are making a non-refundable purchasing decision and must agree to this policy. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected emergency, illness, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Once you register, unrecoverable racecourse services and items have already been paid for you as if you will be attending the event. In the case the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of Irving Marathon Group, including but not limited to inclement weather, fires, floods, terrorism, labor strikes, acts of God, no refunds will be issued as unrecoverable racecourse services and items have already been paid for as the event were to take place.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

All events will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning at the race start time, the event will be postponed for 15 minutes. If after 15 minutes lightning continues, the race may be postponed another 15 minutes or canceled to ensure the safety of all. If the race is canceled, it will not be rescheduled. No refunds will be issued as unrecoverable racecourse services and items have already been paid for as the event were to take place.

TRANSFER POLICY

  • TRANSFER DISTANCES

    • How: Select the Manage Registration in your registration confirmation email from RunSignup and select “Transfer Events.”

    • Transfer Events Policy: The deadline is before packet pickup closes the day before the race. If you miss the deadline you cannot transfer - NO EXCEPTIONS. Participants that do not complete the distance they registered for will be disqualified and have a finish time of DNF (Did Not Finish). Refunds are not given for transfers or diqualifications. You cannot transfer to a sold-out distance. Changes CANNOT be made at Packet Pickup. Transfer Fee is $30.

  • TRANSFER TO ANOTHER RACE

    • How: Select the Manage Registration in your registration confirmation email from RunSignup and select “Transfer To Another Race.”

    • Transfer To Another Race Policy: The deadline is 30 days before race day. If you miss the deadline, you cannot transfer - NO EXCEPTIONS. The deadline is 30 days because unrecoverable racecourse services and items have already been paid for as if you will be participating in the event. Transfer Fee is $30.

  • DEFER TO NEXT YEAR

    • How: Select the Manage Registration in your registration confirmation email from RunSignup and select “Defer.”

    • Defer Policy: The deadline is 30 days before race day. If you miss the deadline, you cannot defer - NO EXCEPTIONS. The deadline is 30 days because unrecoverable racecourse services and items have already been paid for as if you will be participating in the event. Defer Fee is $30.

  • TRANSFER TO VIRTUAL EVENT

    • How: Select the Manage Registration in your registration confirmation email from RunSignup and select “Transfer Events.”

    • Transfer to Virtual Policy: The deadline 1 week after race day. If you miss the deadline, you cannot transfer - NO EXCEPTIONS. Transfer Fee: $30.

  • TRANSFER TO SOMEONE ELSE

    • How: Select the Manage Registration in your registration confirmation email from RunSignup and select “Transfer To Someone Else.”

    • Transfer to Someone Else Policy: The deadline is before packet pickup closes the day before the race. If you miss the deadline, you cannot transfer - NO EXCEPTIONS. Transfer Fee: $0.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR REGISTRATION

Changes can be made by selecting the "Manage Registration" link above your QR code in your registration confirmation email from RunSignup BEFORE THE 30-DAY DEADLINE.

  1. Log into www.runsignup.com

  2. Select Profile Picture in upper right corner and select Profile

  3. Find the event under “Upcoming Events” and select Manage Registration

  4. Select your option:

  • Transfer Event - change distances within the same race (upgrade to VIP, change distance, switch to virtual/in-person, etc.)

  • Transfer to Another Race - to transfer to another 1 of 8 races in the series

  • Transfer to Someone Else

  • Manage Add-Ons - Race Packet Delivery, VIP Area Access, Spectator Passes, Swag, etc.

  • Giveaway - Change shirt size

  • Shipping - Update shipping address. (Editing your address on your main profile will NOT change your information for any races or events you have already registered for.  If you need information updated for races you have already registered for, please update by following these instructions.)

  • Estimated Time - Update Estimated Finish Time

  • Team Challenge - Create/Join the Team Challenge

  • Defer Registration - this is Step 1. See Step 2 below.

    • STEP 2 - HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR DEFERRAL WHEN THE NEXT YEAR’S REGISTRATION OPENS

      If you chose to defer a registration, YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR DEFERRAL when the next year’s registration opens. The deadline to do this is 30 days before race day.

      1. Go to www.runsignup.com

      2. Select Profile Picture in upper right corner and select Sign In

      3. Select Profile Picture again and select Profile

      4. Select the name of the account you would like to manage if more than one person is on the account

      5. Select "Deferrals" (Mobile - Tap 3 bar icon next to Upcoming Events or Desktop - top of the page)

      6. Select "Complete Deferral"

      7. Select "Start Transfer" to complete your deferral and transfer into the current year’s race

RACE REQUIREMENTS

  • RACE START REQUIREMENTS

    • PARK AND ARRIVE AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE YOUR RACE START TIME.

    • LINE UP IN YOUR CORRAL 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR RACE START TIME.

    • START AT YOUR RACE START TIME.

      • YOU MUST START AT YOUR RACE START TIME WITH YOUR RACE DISTANCE.

      • CORRALS CLOSE FOR EACH RACE DISTANCE AFTER IT STARTS.

      • THOSE NOT ON TIME WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

      • YOU CANNOT START WITH A DIFFERENT RACE DISTANCE.

      • NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • BIB REQUIREMENTS

    • BIBS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES TO ENTER CORRALS AND BE ON COURSE.

    • WEAR YOUR RACE BIB ON THE FRONT OF YOUR SHIRT SO THAT POLICE AND RACE OFFICIALS KNOW YOU ARE AN OFFICIALLY REGISTERED RUNNER.

    • NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO ENTER THE CORRALS AND BE ON COURSE WITHOUT A BIB FACING FORWARD, SHOWING THE COMPLETE NUMBER.

    • ANYONE WITHOUT A BIB IS NOT ALLOWED AND WILL BE ESCORTED OFF COURSE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

RACE RESTRICTIONS

  • Group Assignments - All participants are assigned a start group (Group A-E) according to their estimated finish time. Group A starts first, then B-E to follow. You are allowed to start with a group after you, but you cannot start with a group before you.

  • Walking Policy - Walking is allowed, but must be able to finish the course before course closure. See time limits below.

  • Age Requirement - There is no age requirement. ALL participants regardless of age must register and wear a bib facing forward to enter the corrals and be on course.

  • Stroller Policy - Strollers are allowed at this time.* A stroller is pushed, not pulled. Anyone in a stroller must stay in the stroller. They cannot get out anytime inside the barricades, on course, before/at/after the finish line. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD OUT TO CROSS THE FINISH LINE! They must be completely exited from the barricaded area to be allowed out of the stroller. *This policy is under review and is subject to change at any time.

  • Dog Policy - Dogs are allowed. Must be on a standard NON-RETRACTABLE 6-ft maximum dog leash at ALL times. Do not tie leash to your body or anything other than your hand. 1 per person.

  • Skates, bicycles, and other non-official wheeled vehicles are NOT allowed.

  • Headphones - are allowed and encouraged to be used with the RaceJoy App.

  • Wheelchairs - Wheelchairs are allowed. Please be advised on the following: Extra caution should be used around hazardous areas such as the promenade along water canals, stay off train tracks, and currently the only median curb required to go over in all 8 races would be the Love on the Run 10k turn around and the St. Patrick's 5-Mile turn around. There is not a separate wheelchair division for awards. There is not a separate wheelchair corral group. There are no head starts. You must enter your estimated finish time when registering and start in the appropriate corral group.

DID NOT FINISH

  • Participants that did not finish the distance they registered for will be disqualified and marked as DNF. This applies to any situation the registered distance is not completed in full. If you wish to transfer to another distance, see transfer policy above.

  • Participants that did not finish the course by course closure will be disqualified and marked as DNF. Participants still on course after course closure will need to move to the sidewalk and follow Texas pedestrian laws. Water/Aid stations will be closed. The Irving Marathon Running Series is not responsible for anyone on course after course closure.

      • Irving St. Patrick’s Run - 1h 40m

      • Paws Colinas 5k-9 - TBA

WATER STATIONS

  • Water Stations are provided every ~1.5 - 2 miles. Water and Glacier Freeze Gatorade* are provided at every water station. Pickle Juice*, bananas, and oranges are provided at marathon and half marathon water stations only. *Products are subject to change with any new sponsorships, such as energy drinks, bars, and other snacks being added. Products will be confirmed closer to the event and updated on course map details.

  • Runners are allowed to carry their own hydration/nutrition of choice. This includes water bottles, fanny packs, camelbaks, etc.

PORTABLE TOILETS

Portable Toilets are provided every ~1.5 - 2 miles.

EVENT SHIRTS

Event shirts are gender-specific. You can select Women’s or Men’s regardless of your gender. We do not offer youth sizes at this time but hope to offer them once youth participation numbers increase.

EXCHANGE POLICY

Event Shirts: Shirt exchanges can be made at the race day packet pickup kiosk once packet pickup closes 1 hour before race start time. This is to ensure everyone receives the shirt size they ordered. We only order what is ordered and make projections for late registrations. Participants are encouraged to either have their packet delivered or pickup at the earliest packet pickup time.

Online Store: Shirt exchanges can be made by completing the Merchandise Exchange Request Form on our Online Merchandise Store. Complete the Exchange Request Form to request an exchange. Please allow 3-5 days for your request to be processed. A pre-paid label and envelope will be included in the exchange package for the exchanged item to be returned. Exchanges or returns can be made no more than 15 days after purchase.  After 15 days, we cannot accept exchanges or returns.

The Irving Marathon Running Series benefits the Irving Schools Foundation. Each event brings people worldwide together for a great cause by providing meals for children, school supplies, scholarships, and more.
